Welcome to a very special place. Redondo de Guayedra is a utopia come true. It is the vision of a man who, with the support of his family, has devoted the last 30 years of his life to restoring an area of significant historical and scenic importance, while also creating an eco-friendly space that provides local residents with quality employment opportunities and contributes to the conservation and promotion of the island's natural and cultural heritage.
The Redondo de Guayedra project began in 1994 with the purchase of the first estate in the lower part of the Guayedra Valley.
It was the vision of a man with a passion for agriculture who had been fascinated by the island's indigenous past since childhood. It was to be a corner of paradise where he could relax with his family and cultivate the land with his father.
Over the years, the opportunity arose to acquire and restore new farms in the valley which were in a state of considerable neglect. Arduous cleaning and refurbishment work had to be undertaken. Thanks to an agreement with the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the land was reforested with native vegetation.
Recognising the area's natural and historical value, the owner dared to dream of a utopia: reunifying the Término Redondo de Guayedra, the last home of the free Canarians, and restoring the area environmentally.
In order to make this project viable, he rebuilt ponds and terraces, cleaned and replanted farmland for organic farming and renovated some of the existing buildings in the Guayedra Valley for use as tourist accommodation.
Thus, in 2017, Redondo de Guayedra was established: an agrotourism venture located on a 120,000-square-metre organic farm. This inspires us to continue our efforts to restore the historic Término de Redondo de Guayedra to its former glory.
Redondo de Guayedra Agrotourism is a family business committed to the sustainable development of our island. Our team, comprised of individuals who share our values, has made this dream a reality.
