At Redondo de Guayedra, we cultivate the land with respect, reviving traditional farming methods in the valley and embracing self-sufficiency. Guests can discover this unique environment, visit the farm and connect with nature by feeding the animals.
We cultivate around 50 hectares using traditional methods and without mechanisation, prioritising quality over quantity. Our fields provide us with fruit, vegetables and coffee, most of which is consumed by our guests. We have restored the valley's agricultural splendour using natural fertilisers and an abundant water supply, while respecting the essence of centuries past.
The water used for irrigation originates from the Tamadaba pine forest and the upper Guayedra valleys. It is stored in two large restored ponds. From there, it is distributed to the fields, with its use regulated according to need. Without a doubt, it is the great secret and treasure of our farm.
Discover the magic of our beehives, where bees produce pure honey and play a vital environmental role. Their pollination work enriches biodiversity and promotes healthy ecosystems.
Animals are an essential part of a natural environment like this. Our farm is home to ducks, chickens, geese, turkeys, sheep, goats and Margarita the donkey — our most sociable animal friend. Children love visiting them and can accompany Julián, our experienced farmhand with over 30 years' experience, as he goes about his daily tasks of caring for and feeding the animals. He will teach you how to feed the animals properly.
As well as the animals on our small farm, we share the Guayedra Valley with giant lizards, hedgehogs, rabbits, wild goats, crows, owls, shearwaters and many other birds. We all enjoy our natural paradise in harmony.
